Went to the library today to get some books on e-commerce and retail. I had an idea for a potential business, but I'll need to lay out the fine details and other boring stuff first. And guess what, apparently the library is a retirement home on Monday mornings!
Either that, or old people get out of bed, go down 10 storeys, walk 50 metres, enter the library, and promptly fall asleep on the nearest couch.
Went to town in the afternoon. Operation 'Getajobinahotel' failed. Apparently, my courage failed me at the last moment. Instead, I went to check out some threads at Peninsula to console myself. Remember those butt-ugly Giordano 'Cheer You Up' shirts? I considered getting its predecessor, the Nirvana band tee. It was black, with all print in Yellow and a lopsided smiley face with fangs protruding from its mouth.
Regretted my purchase as soon as I saw the shop owner pull out a Muse t-shirt, almost as if by coincidence. He probably does that with every single customer that walks through his doors and buys a shirt, the sneaky bugger. So in the end I got my Muse shirt, walked out of Peninsula into God's tears, and took a bus to Bugis. Just you average Monday afternoon.
Considered buying shorts from Bugis Street, until I saw how garish the designs were and I made a mental note to "stick to Fourskin at worst". Finally, I took the train home and grabbed some chow before heading home and doing my workout. And the rest, as the first class grade - A bitch Ke$ha says is "blah, blah, blah".
Have I ever mentioned how much I hate supplicators? They give men a bad name - they buy gifts for girls, they do cliche crap like buying her flowers on the first date and taking them to the swankiest restaurant in town (Which, by the way, is NOT Billy Bomber's), they ad lib in all the wrong ways, they chase after the girl even though it's obvious the girl doesn't like them, and finally the girl just gives in and settles down. Like what the hell is that, a bad Channel 8 drama?
