March 25, Spiderman is about more than just a man in a fagsuit { 7:36 AM }
Just woke up from my nearly cryogenic slumber.
Sleep cycled all the way back from East Coast Park after a 40 - odd km fast peddling, dust biting, gear grinding, jaw dropping, mind banging cycling expedition. Then I fell into a 7 hour coma which involved drifting in limbo and laughing at God's stache. I know, fatigue does that to you.
Lots of stuff happened during the cycling expedition, such as tricking girls into thinking the entire stretch of the Changi expressway is haunted, hearing the whining of a certain pansy, the inside joke of the day (don't be a Priss), several people falling for one another literally, and several boiling points being reached. Of course, there was also a Matrix moment - take the red path and you go home and nothing happens; take the blue path and follow me, and you will see how deep the rabbit hole goes. And what awaits at the end of the tunnel.
It all started yesterday afternoon when we met up for the E4 Bitch party, and everyone was having fun making fun of people (yeah we're bad, got a problem with that?), doing lots of randomly funny stuff and several other things. Dinner was awesome, attempts to humiliate Jun Rong failed on an epic scale, and everyone generally had a good time in the water and out of it.
Went home halfway to get my bike with Chu Shiuan and David, and experienced a moment right out of the set from The Osbournes. After a slight delay, we set off on the usual path towards East Coast Park. Stopped at Cheers to stock up on supplies and went on our merry way.
Shortly after stargazing on the beach listening to some retro tunes, we decided to cycle to Changi Village (trust me, I didn't give this one the heads up) and after what seems like an eternity we finally reached, only to find all the stores were closed. We did manage to stock up on refreshments though, and we made our way back.
Half of the party then parted ways - to head on home. The other half stayed on to wait for the sunrise (got some decent shots, will upload them soon!) and shortly after, we made our way off the beaten path of East Coast to catch the dawn. After which, we made our way back to the bicycle rental shop. Dozed off while riding several times - but made it back in one piece nontheless! Enjoyed a hearty breakfast it McD's before heading back home. As they say, the rest is history.
I was thinking about something recently when out of the blue, I suddenly thought of Spiderman (don't ask me how or why). I realised that Spidey isn't all about the fancy shmancy acrobatics or tight outfits - it's also about politics, family and love. Well actually, office politics. Yeah. Office politics. Like how he has to deal with plagiarism, bringing home the bacon, dealing with an unreasonable boss and sneaky rats for co-workers. All in a day's work. So wouldn't you say, Spidey makes a good politician doesn't he?
